Description
Two islands at dawn, off the coast along Shimoda in Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Shimoda is known for its spectacular sunrise scenes, but it was dark, dreary and cloudy the day we were there. Even at sunrise the sun was nowhere to be seen, the sky covered with thick bands of clouds.We were pretty disappointed but I was able to take this shot. I liked the calm blue tones and how eerily quiet and still everything was.
