Artist's Description
A painting of a park after some Spring rain, with pink sakura or cherry blossoms in full bloom and yellow nanohana or field mustard covering the ground below. The path has become muddy due to the downpour, but the wet petals and leaves look fresh and vibrant in the early morning. I used impasto brushstrokes, matte medium and modeling paste to bring out the textures for this scene. Makes a wonderful housewarming gift, or as a present for anyone who likes parks, colorful botanicals and floral scenery. I painted this piece using acrylic on canvas on January 2015.
