The image is based on a photo I took of a little Japanese-style hut at Kodai-ji, an ancient Buddhist temple deep in the Takao forest of Kyoto and designated as a World Heritage Site. I liked the wabi-sabi or transient, imperfect aesthetic of the fall scene.
