An acrylic painting of the Bird-of-Paradise flower, or crane flower. It is the Official Flower of Los Angeles City in California, USA. I love how the plant, with its fan-like crown, looks like the bird of paradise feathered creature, which has bright plumage and highly elongated and elaborate feathers. I hand-painted this picture in tones of orange, yellow, violet and green.
