Description
An abstract piece featuring the Daibutsu or Great Buddha at Todai-ji temple, a World Heritage Site in Nara, Japan. The statue is the largest bronze sculpture in the world. I reversed the usual triangular, grounded shape formed by the sitting Buddha, and added a nebulae effect to represent our precarious hold on reality and and quest for transcendence.
