Description
I took this photo of a thoughtful gargoyle contemplating the city of Paris atop the Notre-Dame Cathedral in France. I reflected the image and added burlap paper texture. The quote is from Victor Hugofs 1831 novel gThe Hunchback of Notre Dameh (Notre-Dame de Paris): gThe saints were his friends and blessed him; the monsters were his friends and kept watch over him. He would sometimes spend whole hours crouched before one of the statues in solitary conversation with ith. For all fans of Hugo, Gothic architecture, gargoyles and the City of Light.
