I took this photo of a thoughtful gargoyle contemplating the city of Paris atop the Notre-Dame Cathedral in France. I reflected the image and added burlap paper texture. The quote is from Victor Hugofs 1831 novel gThe Hunchback of Notre Dameh (Notre-Dame de Paris): gThe saints were his friends and blessed him; the monsters were his friends and kept watch over him.
